Man stabbed near downtown Seattle, suspect at large

A man suffered life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in the chest in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District on Thursday.

Seattle police were called to reports of a stabbing at Fifth Avenue and S Jackson St. around 5:46 p.m.

Firefighters treated the victim, a man who had multiple stab wounds to the chest, then transported him to the hospital for treatment.

According to initial investigations, the stabbing occurred as part of an argument at one o’clock.

Police spokesman Ofc. Eric Munoz says he is not confident the victim will survive and he is currently fighting for his life.

According to authorities, the suspect is still at large.
