Mesa County Sheriff’s Office arrests 28-year-old for attempted sexual assault on a child

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested an individual for attempting to lure a child.

28-year-old Jordan McCabe was taken into custody after texting with an investigator he thought was a 14-year-old boy.

Currently, McCabe is being held at the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

• Internet Luring of a Child
• Attempted Sexual Assault of a Child

McCabe’s cash bond is set at $25,000.
