5 Freeway closed in Boyle Heights after fatal shooting – NBC Los Angeles

At least one person was killed and another was injured after a shooting on a highway in Boyle Heights, California Highway Patrol officials said Thursday.

The incident occurred on the 5 Freeway near the Grande Vista exit around 4:17 p.m.

Both victims were in the same car, officials said.

Video obtained by NewsChopper showed all lanes of the highway coming to a standstill near the shooting site as authorities investigated.
