Man accused of sexually abusing child under 16 on multiple occasions in Bogotá: prosecutor

Juan Flores-Mejia sexually assaulted the child, who was under 16, multiple times in Bogota, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

Flores-Mejia was arrested Oct. 4 following an investigation by the District Attorney’s Office and charged with four counts of second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his initial appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
