Jarrell’s city manager was fired after filing a harassment complaint against the city council

The Jarrell city manager who filed a sexual harassment complaint against three Jarrell City Council members has been fired, according to his attorney.

On Tuesday, the City Council voted 3-2 to fire City Manager Danielle Singh, six months after she filed harassment and discrimination charges against City Council members Jeff Seidel, Daniel Islas and Adam Marsh.

All three voted to fire her.

Singh’s attorney argues that they took unlawful retaliation against an employee.

“We believe that members of the Jarrell City Council violated state and federal employment laws by unlawfully retaliating against an employee who filed an active complaint against members of the panel,” said Tanner Michelle Scheef of the Kaplan Law Firm , who represents Danielle Singh. “The elected officials who voted to fire her have a duty to serve the public interest, but have acted in a manner that clearly only serves their personal interests.”

We reached out to the city for comment but have not yet received a response.
