Here’s how to watch college football between Stanford and Notre Dame: start time, TV and streaming information for the Week 7 game

With College Football Playoff hopes still alive, #11 Notre Dame (4-1) returns to action Saturday afternoon with a 2-3 loss to Stanford. After a blowout loss to Northern Illinois on September 7th, they have won their last three games, scoring 41.7 points per game. Their most recent win came two weeks ago against #15 Louisville and marked the Fighting Irish’s second win over a ranked opponent this season. After this weekend’s match, Notre Dame hits the road for its next two games (at Georgia Tech, at Navy). At this point, none of their remaining opponents are ranked.

The Notre Dame offense, led by the senior QB Riley Leonard, seems to have found its rhythm in this middle part of the season, with Leonard recording his first game of the season with multiple passing touchdowns in the win over Louisville. “Sometimes it’s hard to look at the bigger picture,” Leonard said after that game when asked about Notre Dame’s CFP chances. “I feel like my vision is very limited. I see now that the team is better than last week. The offense is better than last week. The defense is better than last week. We start to roll and regain our confidence. Big picture, who knows. We have a lot of potential, but at the moment I think we are doing well.”

Stanford is coming off two tough losses, to Clemson and Virginia Tech, and getting a win against Notre Dame requires defying a frustrating recent history: Stanford has suffered 14 straight losses to ranked teams and hasn’t won against one since 2021 defeated #3 Oregon. Stanford didn’t record a win either full season since 2018, making it five consecutive years without appearing in a bowl game. They have only won three games in each of the last three seasons. Head coach Troy Taylor is still confident he can get the team on track, including by driving forward a historic modernization program. “When I got to Stanford, they hadn’t even talked about it [NIL] Collective,” Taylor said before this season. “I thought, ‘Do you know what’s going on out there? “The world is changing, so we better adapt quickly.”

This duel has a long history and dates back to the 1925 Rose Bowl – Saturday marks the 38th meeting of all time between the two teams. Notre Dame leads the series 23-14 and is 13-5 at home against Stanford. Full details on how to watch Saturday’s Notre Dame game, including start time, TV and streaming information, are below.
