Quincy woman charged with sexual assault and child pornography

QUINCY (WGEM) – A Quincy woman has been arrested on three Class X felony charges, including sexual assault and production and distribution of child pornography.

According to Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, they have arrested 22-year-old Blake S. Wakefield on one count of predatory sexual assault, which is punishable by up to 60 years, one count of producing child pornography and one count Charged with distributing child pornography, both are punished with up to 30 years each.

On Oct. 9, Quincy police and Raoul investigators conducted a search of Wakefield’s residence in the 400 block of Valley View Road.

She is being held in the Adams County Jail. Her next court date is October 11th.

The case is part of Raoul’s ongoing work working with federal and local law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois to arrest offenders who download and traffic child sexual abuse material online.
