NATCHEZ – Two women from Ferriday, Louisiana, are behind bars for allegedly beating an already injured Adams County woman.

The victim reported to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office that she was attacked on October 1 at a home on Beau Pre Road.

Baleigh Rayborn, 24, and Sunshine Elizabeth Cheye Robertson, 22, turned themselves in at the sheriff’s office after arrest warrants were issued. Each is charged with aggravated assault that demonstrates extreme indifference to human life.

During their investigation, ACSO officers discovered videos showing the beating.

Rayborn filmed herself, as well as others, beating the victim over a sustained period of time with her fists and with one of the crutches the victim used to get around after breaking her foot.

The video shows Robertson beating the victim and dragging her by her hair through the house and out the front door.

At the end of one of the videos, Rayborn blows a kiss into the camera.

Rayborn was released on $50,000 bail. Robertson, whose bond was also set at $50,000, remains in jail.

No motive has been given for the attack at this time, but sheriff’s deputies are continuing to question those involved and additional arrests may be made.
