Ever since Joesph Malinowski, the viral TikTok sensation who refused to evacuate despite Hurricane Milton warnings and survived, made headlines, internet sleuths have been busy uncovering the man’s past. In between a collage of Lieutenant DanThe “14 mugshots” went viral.

A day after Hurricane Milton struck Florida as a Category 3 hurricane, Lieutenant Dan was in his boat as the storm surge filled the Tampa Bay area with water. Amid concerns about what happened to him, photos and videos confirmed Thursday that Malinowski is alive.

Meanwhile, a photo went viral on Thursday showing mugshots of Joseph Malinowski, also known as Lieutenant Dan, on 14 different occasions. Some people even claimed that police records show that Lieutenant Dan is a pedophile and allegedly tried to set a woman on fire.

However, evidence later emerged that although Lieutenant Dan’s mugshots were circulating on social media, the files against him did not indicate that he was a pedophile or that he had attempted to set anyone on fire.

What are the charges against Lieutenant Dan?

The charges include various boat-related tagging, docking and traffic violations, as well as a 2019 drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession charge in Broward County. He pleaded no contest to the charges, which came before marijuana was legalized in Florida. The charge was not a crime.
