Conman cheats on wife by promising to cut hospital bills – tragic result follows |

Lucknow: An unknown miscreant cheated a woman by promising to reduce the bill of a private hospital in PGI police station area. The woman had come to Lucknow to get her son treated Hospital bill reached about 100,000 rupees.
Kusumavati, a woman from Jhagaha in Gorakhpur, had come to a private hospital in Utrathia with her son for treatment.
At around 8 a.m. on September 13, an unknown person approached them and said he would get a reduction of Rs 40,000 in the hospital bill.
He then provided an account number of the Punjab National Bank into which he demanded the deposit of 60,000 rupees. He then left the woman and her son there and ran away.
Due to lack of funds, the woman returned with her son to Gorakhpur Medical College, where the boy died during treatment.
Inspector PGI, Brijesh Chandra Tiwari, said that a case has been registered and a search is on for the fraudster.
