Man arrested on secret spying and child porn charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Valdenir De Souza was arrested by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office on October 2 and charged with secret spying and multiple counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to the warrants, he used an electronic device to film a 17-year-old in a bathroom stall without her knowledge or consent.

The nine counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor involved various images and photographs that Souza allegedly took.

There was also one count of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor for possession of a video containing child pornography.
