I remember Isaiah “Doodles” Stanley after he filmed a tragedy

We’re learning more about one of the victims of an incident in which two people were shot and several others were injured in Redding last Friday.

The Northstate’s News Tyler Van Dyke spoke with Isaiah Jacob Stanley’s family and close friends about what kind of person “Doodles,” as they called him, was and what he was pursuing in life at the time of this senseless tragedy, and each of them said he be a sociable person who always smiled and enjoyed life.

“Doodles was the one person who made everyone smile. I’m telling you, you can find Doodles hanging out with the Hells Angels and he got along just fine, like Doodles where everyone always made friends somewhere, he made you make friends.” I’m not a big people person . “Doodles always made me want to talk to everyone,” said Nico Lynch.

“The most humble person I ever knew, he’s humble, he’s charismatic, he was just loving, he was loved by everyone,” Isaiah Polk said.

It’s been almost a week since the shooting that killed Isaiah, and his friends haven’t gotten much sleep since.

“We were out here every night. I got the call at 5am. I’ve been awake since then, we’ve been here every night. Man, it’s unreal that it’s not someone you don’t think you’re going to get a call from.” Lynch continued, “I’m still shocked that it didn’t feel real when I tried yesterday to call him.”

His friends say Isaiah made a name for himself in the cycling scene from Nevada to the Bay Area by always riding his bike and popping wheelies.

Isaiah and his friend Parker wanted to create a group centered around their two passions.

“One day we’re sitting there in the kitchen just chopping everything up and talking about how we should just start like a group, he rides his bike, I play music,” said Parker “Spazz” Lee, “we had over there just put your fingers up and thought, what is this, this 2A, this 2 active.”

They took the 2A meaning “2 Active” from the Bay Area bike scene that started them and brought it to Redding, and Isaiah drew this logo for it, Lynch explained the meaning.

“It’s 2 Active, which means we’re outside, we’re doing wheelies and tearing it up.”

Isaiah’s friends are still grieving the unimaginable loss.

“I grew up with the child, I loved him with all my heart and it’s just sad to say that I didn’t get to say goodbye to him or talk to him one last time before he left us and since he left “I have a hard time sleeping and thinking, and it doesn’t feel real,” Walker Rivers said.

“The last time I saw my brother was here on his 22nd birthday, like we talked every day after that, but that was the last time I saw him in person, that was about two weeks ago. It’s just crazy, it doesn’t seem real to me. I don’t know if it hit home yet, but it just doesn’t seem real to me. I could sit here for hours and talk about all the memories we had, but it just doesn’t make sense, none of it makes sense, I really don’t know what to say,” Parker “Spazz” Lee explained.

His sister talked about the brother she loved.

“He was my protector, you know, like anything I needed, he was the first caller. He was great when I needed to talk, when I needed to go away and eat something or anything, he would never say no, he was just so helpful to everyone.” Marissa Newton continued, “I feel like he was with that Cycling life has finally found peace. Cycling was his passion and I’m glad he found it. We will never let his name die, Long. “Live Doodles, brother, forever.”

His father also spoke about his son and shared that he wants to see changes regarding gun violence in the city.

“My son, he was the best he had out of all his mates and he wasn’t on the streets or running in these gangs and stuff and I’m just wondering why they would let someone out who’s running around and running into people shoots, what are we?” “We’re going to do something about it, how can we stop these kids from getting hurt? It’s not just my son, it’s everyone’s son, so we have to find out Redding has to find out about this shooting because it’s not right,” Martin Newton continued: “I wish it wasn’t a case, forget the case , I would rather have my son here now and everything would be okay.”
