Woman sexually assaulted in Bowmanville home

Durham police are investigating a sexual assault in Bowmanville.

A woman met a man on Tinder, who then connected her with a second man on Snapchat.

After the couple chatted on Snapchat, the man went to the woman’s home near Jollow Drive and Concession Road 3, on Mearns Avenue, around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to police, he sexually assaulted the woman inside and fled before officers arrived at the scene.

The man on Tinder had the username “Alex,” while the man on Snapchat had the username “Moses.”

The suspect is described as male, brown, around 1.90 meters tall, 20 to 25 years old and of strong build. He was wearing a black sweater, green cargo pants and white shoes.

Police fear there could be more victims.
