A man was killed in a shooting at the Sunstream Villas Apartments on Westpark Drive in west Houston, police said

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Police are investigating a fatal shooting in west Houston Thursday morning.

According to Houston police, the shooting occurred around 6:45 a.m. at the Sunstream Villas Apartments at 10085 Westpark Drive.

SkyEye flew over the scene where several HPD vehicles were seen blocking the complex. Crime scene tape was placed around a dumpster, near which there appeared to be a pool of blood.

According to HPD, a man was found shot at the apartment complex and taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Further information about what exactly led to the shooting or possible suspects was not immediately released.
