Road rage ends incident with shots fired, arrest in Ozaukee County

A road rage incident led to shots fired on I-43 and ultimately an arrest in Ozaukee County on Wednesday. The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office received the report of the incident at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday. This happened on northbound I-43, north of North Port Washington Road in the town of Mequon.

The sheriff claims 21-year-old Cam’ron Bardney of Milwaukee fired that shot into a Toyota Tundra, hitting the passenger door. The bullet entered the passenger compartment and rested on the center console without hitting the driver, who was uninjured.

Bardney was soon in a commercial parking lot north of Mequon Road. He was charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety, discharging a firearm from a vehicle on the highway and second-degree possession of THC.

I-43 northbound was closed for 45 minutes during the investigation and reopened around 2:30 p.m
