Two Israeli settlers were “seriously” injured in a knife attack in Haifa, in the northern part of the occupied Palestinian territories. Regime media reported one fatality in an earlier attack near Tel Aviv.

The two settlers injured after a knife attack in Haifa on Thursday were reportedly aged 40 and 70.

Israel’s Hebrew media also reported that a settler died as a result of injuries sustained in a knife attack in Hadera, about 45 kilometers north of Tel Aviv, on Wednesday.

The knife attack in Hadera occurred at several locations in the city and left six settlers injured, two of them in “serious” condition.

The Hebrew newspaper Ma’ariv said the attacker fled the scene but was later arrested. Israeli media said the attacker had an Israeli identity and was from the occupied city of Umm al-Fahm.

The Israeli-occupied territories have been on high alert since the regime launched a genocidal war against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

The brutal aggression has so far killed more than 42,000 people and injured at least 97,700 others, most of them women and children. The number is incomplete as thousands of missing people still lie under the rubble.

The southern Gaza Strip has been almost razed to the ground and most of its 2.3 million people have since been displaced, and humanitarian conditions are deplorable.
