Boston man charged in fatal stabbing near Mass. and Cass sentenced in 2021

A 52-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Wednesday for the January 2021 shooting in the Boston neighborhood of Mass. and Cass stabbed a man, prosecutors said.

David Robinson of Boston pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter in Suffolk Superior Court, where Judge Mary Ames handed down his sentence Wednesday, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden’s office said in a statement.

On Jan. 4, 2021, Robinson and another man, Robert Jamison, attacked 33-year-old Richard Ghiozzi with knives in the Boston Fire Department parking lot on Southampton Street, the statement said. After Ghiozzi, of Medford, was fatally wounded by Robinson, Jamison stomped on his head, prosecutors said.
