Secaucus teen arrested for trafficking child pornography

Secaucus, NJ – Secaucus Police began investigating a tip regarding child sexual abuse material in September. The tip involved images and videos uploaded by a Harmon Cove Towers resident via Snapchat, X and Telegram.

The investigation revealed that a 15-year-old Secaucus resident was in possession of more than 900 images and videos containing child sexual abuse material. Detective Kristen Bronowich’s efforts revealed that the teen was trading these materials with others. Some of the content targeted preschool, elementary school, and teenage children. However, it is not known whether the minor knew the children pictured.

On Monday, authorities executed a search warrant at the teen’s home. Members of the Secaucus Police Detective Division, the New Jersey State Police ICAC Unit and the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit participated in the seizure of an electronic device during the search.

The teen’s charges include two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of invasion of privacy, stemming from a separate incident. In this incident, the teenager is said to have taken and distributed a photo of an acquaintance without her consent.
