There are many natural phenomena in the world and people have often discovered them by accident or through exploration. Similarly, in 1991, a man discovered the largest cave in the world, the Son Doong, located in Vietnam.

Ho Khanh, a native of Vietnam, accidentally discovered the world’s largest cave in 1991 while hiking through the jungle in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. While seeking shelter from a storm, he came across the entrance to the cave. However, he did not explore it in detail at the time and the place was somewhat forgotten.

Years later he shared his experiences with Howard and Deb Limbert of the British Cave Research Association. Researchers were fascinated by his description of Son Doong Cave full of rivers and green spaces. In 2009, the British-Vietnamese cave expedition team led by Howard Limbert officially surveyed and surveyed Hang Son Doong. They described it as the largest natural cave in the world with a volume of 38.5 million cubic meters. In 2013, the Guinness Book of Records recognized it as the largest natural cave.

A video of the cave shared on Instagram went viral. It was posted by the account @danielkordan, who often visits such mysterious places and shares his experiences on his social media account. The video has accumulated 1.1 million views. Many people shared their feedback in the comment section. Many users wanted to visit this beautiful place after watching the video. For many, Son Doong Cave feels unreal.
