Bluffton University Theater presents 26 Pebbles, a drama based on the Sandy Hook shooting

7:30 p.m. November 14-16 and 2:30 p.m. November 17 in Ramseyer Auditorium, College Hall.

Bluffton University Theater has announced the following cast list for its fall play “26 Pebbles” by Eric Ulloa.

About the play: “26 Pebbles is a heartbreaking and compelling docudrama about the community’s response to the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.”

“Playwright Eric Ulloa conducted interviews with residents of Newtown, Connecticut, exploring gun violence and a small town rocked by a terrible event.”

Cast members include students, faculty and alumni, and most actors play multiple roles.

Andrea Burden: senior food and nutrition student, Quincy, Ohio

Jasmine DeJesus: Sophomore criminal justice and writing student, Norwalk, Ohio

Malcolm Hudson: Freshman undecided, Atlanta, Georgia.

Deborah Yoder: ’23 of Bluffton, Ohio

Jenna Loescher: Sophomore social work and psychology major, Wapakoneta, Ohio

Russell Lough: Sports Management Major, Steubenville, Ohio

Colby Schlabach: Mathematics and Economics major, Sugarcreek, Ohio

Paul Neufeld Weaver: Professor of Education and Spanish, Director of Global Education

The production is by Dr. Melissa Friesen, Professor of Theater and Communication, led. Merv Schrock is the technical director and Brit Mustard is the costume designer. Student theater assistants Zael Coblentz, Chloe Haberman, Isabel Miller and Aubrie Sell lead the production team.

Performances will take place November 14-16 at 7:30 p.m. and November 17 at 2:30 p.m. in Ramseyer Auditorium, College Hall. All seats are reserved and tickets are available at www.bluffton.edu/tickets. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for Bluffton University seniors, faculty and staff, and non-Bluffton University students, and free for Bluffton University students.
