NASHVILLE, TN – Further investigation by the Metro Nashville Police Department’s Traffic Unit has led to the confirmed identification of Honduran native Walter Daneris Zuniga, 39, (aka Daneri Varela) as the driver of the red Nissan Sentra believed to be responsible for the fatal accident Saturday night on the Nolensville Pike, killing 10-year-old Emily Sanchez-Ramirez and critically injuring her mother as they rode an electric scooter in the bike path.

Metro investigators obtained nine arrest warrants for Zuniga on Tuesday morning, including charges of negligent homicide, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and tampering with evidence.
