Kevin Costner breaks silence on ‘bulls–t’ rumors about ‘Yellowstone’ drama

Kevin Costner finally weigh this up Yellowstone Rumors that explain the “real truth” about what happened on the show.

“I’ve taken a beating from these damned guys and I often know where it comes from. I just decided not to get involved in it. But if you know me well enough, I did it Yellowstone top priority and to suggest otherwise would be wrong. I didn’t initiate any of this. That’s what they did,” Costner, 69, told Deadline in a profile published on Monday, May 13, noting that he could go over his current status Horizon: An American Saga Press tour says “no comment” – but won’t.

“I will address it. “They should have known there would be an opportunity for me to say something,” Costner continued. “I didn’t have to worry about slings and arrows for the last year and a half because I was just busy with work. They were quite adept at keeping their hands off it; No one was ever on record.”

Discussion about Yellowstone Costner said he “didn’t feel good about it over the last year” and noted that the ongoing speculation about the show “isn’t true.” The actor explained that he negotiated a deal for three more seasons – five, six and seven – but execs “made another deal” that resulted in seasons 5A and 5B.

At the time, Yellowstone was in “first position” and his horizon Film series fit “into the gaps”. Costner added: “They just kept moving their gaps.”

Costner called “Bulls-t” over rumors he couldn’t be there Yellowstone hired because he was too busy horizon. His account of the so-called drama was “straightforward,” the Hollywood veteran added.

“That’s not true,” he explained when asked if horizon cut into his Yellowstone Shooting time. “That’s a lie. That is not correct. They sent me away for seven days to go to London to go to England to do something during Covid [promotion]. They made the contract and picked the days.”

Costner said there were “blocks of time” where 10 episodes weren’t filmed and he only worked “43 days.”

It has been widely reported that alleged tensions between Costner and Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan delayed the show’s return. The final episode of the 5A season aired in January 2023, with the second part scheduled to air this summer – but the episodes have yet to air.

Costner told Deadline that he “lived” the contract he signed. (The actor has since played the role of John Dutton Yellowstone Series premiere that aired in 2018.)

“I gave them 25 of my days in November and December for this B thing [2022]. What they called 5B. The whole month of March [2023]”he continued. “I didn’t shoot 5B. There was no script. And then everything imploded.”

According to Costner, he left horizon Filming Season 5B. The biggest problem, as Costner kept repeating, seemed to be that there were “no scripts” for the finale Yellowstone episodes.

“I left exactly when they wanted and that made it difficult for me. It turns out they didn’t have the scripts for 5B. It took them four more days to complete the first eight episodes,” he claimed. “I left early to give them what they needed for a full eight, and I felt bad that the crowd didn’t get a ten.”

That’s when he decided to offer “a week.” Yellowstone. “I really didn’t have this week, but I said I’ll do it. And then her [spun that] I only wanted to work for a week,” Costner added.

“Do you think that’s me? I’ve never missed a day of work. “I never left before fulfilling my contractual obligations,” the actor continued. “I often stay as long as I can. In fact, I worked for nine days just to try to help them in July [2022]when I started [Horizon] August 1st. I worked for them one Saturday and Sunday and they needed four more days. I gave it to them when I thought we were doing this so-called B thing, but there was no B thing.”

Costner is “very open to returning.” Yellowstone.

“If the writing is there and I’m happy with it. I’m open to it. But it annoyed me that these people didn’t stand up for me and didn’t allow crazy stories to come to light,” he added. “I’m not happy about that. But if the writing is there, I will be there too. They had first place. I didn’t do that horizon because I was tired of it Yellowstone. This is a Bulls T story. I didn’t do that horizon compete with Yellowstone. The [project] is something I’ve had for a long time.”

The first half of YellowstoneJohn (Costner)’s fifth season ended with him seemingly settling down with his daughter Beth (Kelly Reilly), to murder his son Jamie (Wes Bentley). Meanwhile, Jamie called for John’s impeachment.
