Motorcycle catches fire in Moana accident

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – At least one person was taken to the hospital after a crash on Moana Lane. It happened around 7 p.m. The eastbound lanes were closed around Kietzke Lane for a period of time and the westbound lanes were limited to a single lane.

Reno firefighters said when they arrived, a motorcycle had caught fire. They were able to put it out before the fire spread. The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her current condition is currently unknown.

Officials have not yet been able to confirm whether other vehicles were involved. We have reached out to the Reno Police Department for more information about this incident and will update you as we learn more.
