The suspect is charged with double stabbing in Sparks and is believed to be a juvenile

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – New details are being released about a stabbing that took place in Sparks last week.

According to the Sparks Police Department, around 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Chatterly Lane for reports of a stabbing. Police were able to locate two adult female victims at the scene who were taken to the hospital.

Investigators with the Sparks Police Department were assigned to further investigate the case, which was determined to be a homicide.

The first stabbing victim was taken to Renown for non-life-threatening injuries. Police are not releasing her identity at this time. The second stabbing victim was also taken to Renown but was later pronounced dead. Police say her identity is also not being released at this time.

During the investigation, police learned that the suspect was a juvenile. He was arrested and taken to the Jan Evans Juvenile Justice Center on charges of murder with the use of a deadly weapon, domestic assault with the use of a deadly weapon, causing substantial bodily harm and assault with a deadly weapon.
