3 injured in accident in Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WAVE) – Three people were hospitalized in a crash in Elizabethtown Wednesday afternoon.

Elizabethtown police said a red Chevrolet truck attempted to turn from eastbound US 62 onto the southbound ramp to the US 31 Bypass and entered the path of a westbound Chevy truck, resulting in a collision.

Both the driver and passenger of the Chevy car, a man and a woman, sustained serious injuries and were transported from the scene. The driver of the truck was also transported for medical treatment.

EPD said no charges are expected.
