A suspended additional chief magistrate of Bodeli taluka in Chhota Udepur has filed an application in the HC seeking quashing of a criminal complaint lodged against him. The court granted him relief and suspended the coercive measures. Another hearing in the case will take place on November 19th.

A theft complaint was lodged at Bodeli police station in Chhota Udepur district against three people: additional chief magistrate AR Pathak, a court attendant and a driver. The judge was later suspended by the HC. According to the prosecution, the courtroom was locked and a footman was called to hand over the key to the sessions judge. Instead, he gave the key to the judge, who later allegedly took several documents home without permission.
The judge claimed he had been made a scapegoat.AM
