Man dead after being struck by semi-truck while walking naked on Highway 99

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) – A man is dead after he was struck by a semi-truck while walking naked on Highway 99 in Fresno on Wednesday morning.

The scene is on Highway 99 near McKinley Avenue.

According to the CHP, officers initially received calls of a naked person walking on the highway and in at least one of the lanes.

They then received further calls that the man had been hit by a Peterbilt tractor-trailer.

When officers arrived, they found the man on the ground near the median divider.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi-truck remained at the scene and drugs or alcohol were not a factor.
