Clackamas man dies after stabbing; Suspect is charged with murder

A man who was stabbed Sept. 21 at the Twin Creek Apartments on Southeast Sunnyside Road died from his injuries, according to the Clackamas Co. Sheriff’s Office.

Police said they found 43-year-old Tristan Salvadore Thomas with stab wounds in a parking lot just before 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 21

Officers performed life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived and transported him to a local hospital.

Investigators believe 52-year-old Chad Michael Westover of Oregon City stabbed Thomas during an argument.

On September 26, police arrested Westover on a charge of first-degree assault. He was released two days later after paying $75,000.

On October 4, Westover was taken back into custody at the Clackamas County Courthouse and is being held without bail in the Clackamas County Jail on charges of second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and tampering with evidence.

On Wednesday, Samantha S. Christensen, 48, of Happy Valley, booked herself into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of first-degree assault, tampering with evidence, hindering prosecution and interfering with filing a report. Christensen is also being held without bail because of her involvement in the incident.
