Motorcyclist injured in crash on Toledo Road in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. (WSBT) — A motorcyclist is in the hospital after a crash on Toledo Road in Elkhart Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the accident occurred near the area of ​​Toledo Road and Rowe Street just after 1:30 p.m.

Police say in their preliminary investigation that the motorcyclist was traveling west on Toledo Road when the man, in his 60s, appeared to lose control of his motorcycle after Rowe Street.

According to police, the man was taken to the hospital to be evaluated and treated for his injuries, including an apparent head injury.

The police do not know anything about the condition of the motorcyclist injured in the accident.

The Elkhart Crash Reconstruction Team is handling the investigation.
