IndyCar Grand Prix races into Arlington’s entertainment district »Dallas is innovative

The Arlington Entertainment District already had a lot to offer as the home of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and many more. But now there’s even more to celebrate thanks to an innovative new partnership between the Cowboys, Rangers and NTT IndyCar Series.

The three organizations are working together to bring the IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington to the city in March 2026. The racetrack takes you around the streets around the Rangers’ Globe Life Field and goes through hairpin turns next to the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium.

The 2.73-mile route will wind through Arlington’s premier sports and entertainment district, just months before an even bigger event comes to the city: the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Another win for JerryWorld and the Rangers

Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones said his organization is “thrilled to partner with the Texas Rangers, Penske Entertainment and the city of Arlington to bring Grand Prix racing to the streets of the Arlington Entertainment District.”

Roger Penske, chairman of Penske Corporation, described the Arlington Grand Prix as “the next global racing spectacle.”

The Grand Prix is ​​sure to fill hotel rooms and buzz coffers across Arlington, noted Mayor Jim Ross.

“I can’t imagine a more beautiful and vibrant setting for this competition than Arlington’s world-class entertainment district, which has proven time and time again to be a premier destination for sports and entertainment,” Ross said. “This announcement is an economic win for North Texas and we look forward to welcoming this incredible racing series and its fans for an unforgettable experience.”

Veteran motorsports industry executive Bill Miller has been named president of the IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington. He brings more than three decades of experience to the position, including previously serving as President of California Speedway and SVP of Operations at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). ).

The IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington will feature “a full weekend of racing and entertainment,” IndyCar said, with general admission, reserved seating, VIP hospitality and party zone areas.
