Duggar sibling reveals scary family emergency

Joy-Anna Duggar recently experienced every mother’s worst nightmare as she recently experienced health issues with her one-year-old son.

On Tuesday, October 8th, it will take place 19 kids and counting alum took to her Instagram Story to document how she had to rush her youngest son, Gunner, to the emergency room. (Joy-Anna married Austin Forsyth in 2017 and the couple have three children together: Gideon (6), Evelyn (4) and Gunner (1).)

The reality TV personality began the harrowing flashback by explaining the events that led to her son’s hospitalization.

“Gunner got sick a few days ago…It was just a mild cough and a runny nose, but it only got worse on the second day…we had him put to bed and…”[n] A few hours later he woke up panting and breathing heavily. “We had done everything we could do at home and nothing helped, so we took him to the emergency room…” the mother of three wrote.

The Arkansas native then recounted all the treatments doctors had performed on her toddler in hopes that he wouldn’t have to be admitted as a patient. Joy-Anna wrote: “Before they took us in they gave him breathing treatments, steroids, sucked out his nose… his O2 was around 90-95 (which isn’t too low) but his breathing was really heavy and… ” too fast. He had really hard chest breathing.

The Keep counting Alum shared that she and her husband alternated spending time with Gunner in the hospital and being at home with the other children. After being on oxygen for “2 days and 25 hours,” they were finally able to bring Gunner home.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t Gunner’s first hospital visit this year. Joy-Anna posted a video update sharing that he was hospitalized for the same condition earlier this year the cold.

The ninth of 19 Duggar siblings thanked the doctors and staff who helped her. She also shared that doctors believe Gunner may have asthma, but they can’t diagnose him yet.

The one-year-old appears to be in good spirits after his illness as his mother shared some adorable photos and videos of him playing and giggling at home.
