Charges increased against man accused of stabbing Moorhead girl | The mighty 790 KFGO

MOORHEAD (KFGO) – Charges have been upgraded against the man accused of killing a 14-year-old girl and leaving her body near the Red River in Moorhead in August.

A Clay County grand jury has indicted 18-year-old Isaac Arndt on charges of first- and second-degree premeditated murder with the intent to kill Jaelyn Walker of Moorhead.

Arndt initially claimed that he and Walker were chased in Gooseberry Park, but later admitted to stabbing Walker, slitting her throat, hugging her and then stabbing her again in the back before dragging her body to the river and the Left the crime scene.

Walker’s body was found later that day.

Bail was set at $4 million without conditions or $2 million with conditions.

Arndt’s next court date is November 7th.
