Missing woman found dead in her car in the Vernal area

SPRING – A woman reported missing Monday was found dead in her car Tuesday in the Vernal area.

Roosevelt police reported Kimberly Hyde missing Monday, sharing a social media post from her husband. The post asked for help finding her and described her car as a gray Honda Civic. Inquiring about someone who noticed something strange between 2:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on October 7th.

It was said that family and friends were worried sick.

On Tuesday, Vernal police said they found a car registered to Hyde and discovered her body inside. She was taken to the state medical examiner for identification and cause of death determination.

Roosevelt police told KSL TV they do not believe there is a threat to the community.

Vernal police are in charge of the investigation and ask anyone with information to call the department at 435-789-5835 or call police at 435-789-4222.
