Garth Brooks sues sexual harassment accuser for extortion

Country artist Garth Brooks names his sexual assault accuser in a lawsuit, claiming she is trying to extort millions from him.

The lawsuit, filed by a former hairdresser and makeup artist named Jane Roe, alleges he raped her during a business trip in 2019.

She also accuses Brooks of publicly outing a sexual assault victim out of spite and without justification.

According to the complaint, Roe alleges that Brooks repeatedly exposed himself, shared sexual fantasies and, in one case, forced her to touch him after he stepped out of the shower.

In response, Brooks filed a complaint in a Mississippi court this week.

The country singer originally tried to keep his identity anonymous, but that changed after Roe reportedly revealed his name.

BROOKS then decided to file a second complaint and reveal both of their names.

In the lawsuit, Brooks alleges that the woman who worked for him for 15 years threatened to go public with false allegations of sexual misconduct unless he paid her a large sum.

Court documents say the woman sent two letters, one in July and one in August, demanding millions in exchange for her silence.

BROOKS denies all allegations of wrongdoing and says he filed the lawsuit to “protect his reputation, expose the truth and put an end to their scheme.”

He is seeking compensatory and punitive damages for emotional harassment, defamation and invasion of privacy.

HIS WIFE, TRISHA YEARWOOD, recently broke her silence with an Instagram post with the simple message “Love each other” and a photo of the couple performing on stage together.
