Man dead after becoming trapped between equipment in Jackson County

TOWN OF SPRINGFIELD, Wis. (WEAU) – A man is dead after becoming trapped between equipment in Jackson County.

According to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, on October 5, 2024, at approximately 5:32 p.m., authorities responded to a home in the city of Springfield following a report of a person trapped between equipment.

When officers arrived, they found a man trapped between a tractor and a mobile home.

The person was freed, but died at the scene of the accident.

The person was identified as 79-year-old Peter Suckut of Clear Lake, Wisconsin.

The incident is under investigation.
