Jamie Foxx talks health scare stories for upcoming Netflix show

Jamie Foxx had three shows in Atlanta earlier this month that will form the basis of an upcoming Netflix special.

There are still so many unanswered questions about what exactly happened to Jamie Foxx when he experienced one “medical complication” as early as April 2023. And while Foxx can disclose whatever he chooses, he has referred to this as a “personal journey”has left fans in the dark, even as he continues to make public appearances. Now that Jamie Foxx has completed his three-day run of dubbed shows Another chancehe describes in detail what it took to get back on stage.

While celebrating backstage at one of the shows, Jamie Foxx told those around him: “It was a torturous time having to open these wounds every day for three nights. It was unbearable because worry is what gets you. We have a great show in the room, but we don’t know what they’re laughing at or not laughing at. Any comedian will tell you that it’s all about caring. When you do a stand-up special, you usually go out and work every angle for a year and a half, then you put it on tape. You don’t just show up in Atlanta and turn on the camera.”

With that, Jamie Foxx joked that this show was asking a lot of him and perhaps he would return to the true basics of comedy. “I will never go through this again. My next jokes start with ‘Knock, knock.’ I’m going to do knock-knock jokes for an hour and a half… Let’s sit back, watch this and build towards a new, better, healthier future.”

Although it has been reported that Jamie Foxx’s stand-up show will eventually be available on Netflix, no details have been released yet. While he gained a foothold in the stand-up scene in the late 80s, Foxx has only had a few official specials since the 1993s Straight from the Foxxhole.

What else Jamie Foxx has in store elsewhere: Back in action (alongside Cameron Diaz) will debut on Netflix in January, while he will also star alongside Robert De Niro and Scott Eastwood tin soldier.

We here at JoBlo.com have to commend Jamie Foxx for this series of shows where he seized the opportunity head-on and on his own terms.
