The Aiken County Coroner’s Office will hold the 2024 Panhandling Burial on Thursday, October 24th at 10 a.m. at Graniteville Cemetery. Interred are: Leon Jasinski, Ranae Burns, Robert McHugh, Roberta Lambert, Ronald Lange, John Read, Larry Lewis, James Kenny, Jimmy Tanner, Robert Phillips, Charles Wright, Alfred Kapazira, James Clifton, David Krall II, Charles Anderson and Wade Gable.

CNTA will hold its 33rd annual Teller Lecture on Thursday, October 24th at the Columbia County Expo Center, 212 Partnership Drive, Grovetown, Georgia. The program begins at 5:00 p.m. with a public reception and nuclear technology exhibition, followed by a dinner, lecture and awards ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 and must be purchased by Friday, October 11th. A trick-or-treat drop-in will be held Friday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Aiken County Visitors Center, 133 Laurens St. NW. Come make a craft, grab a spooky treat and put on a show putting on your costume. This event is free to the public while supplies last. The Aiken Ghost Tours Haunted History Fall Tours will take place on October 25th, 26th, 27th and 31st at 6:30 p.m. Tours depart from St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church Cemetery.
