A memorial sign now stands on I-20 between FM 603 and Buck Creek Road at the exact spot where her car was found after the accident. The sign was put up to remind people to pay attention on the road and not to drink and drive.

Since the accident, the Blessing family has worked with TxDOT to raise awareness of how many lives can be affected by a single decision. The family now drives Aspen’s old car to schools to show the impact drinking and driving can have and to spread the message that every decision you make counts.
