MSC Cruises’ exciting GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS entertainment program

Adventure seekers looking to add their name to the record books now have even more opportunities to do so, as MSC Cruises plans to roll out its GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS entertainment program across its fleet.

A popular program has been introduced on two of the cruise line’s ships, giving guests the opportunity to break official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles through a variety of activities. MSC Seascape And MSC World Europe, in March last year.

It is currently available on 12 ships and will be rolled out across the entire MSC Cruises fleet next year.

Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment at MSC Cruisessaid, “The program is very popular with guests, both adults and children.

To date, MSC Cruises guests and crew have broken 30 GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles. From being able to pull rope 100 meters (roughly the length of a football field) the fastest, to being able to do 20 chair revolutions in under 21 seconds, to being able to put the most pairs of socks on one foot in under 30 seconds, Guests have achieved record-breaking success in a variety of bizarre ways.

We are excited to be able to offer it to guests of all ages on additional ships. The expanded partnership is part of MSC Cruises’ broader strategy to further enhance its immersive onboard entertainment programs and provide carefully curated entertainment for guests of all tastes.”

Anyone can be a star on our ships and Guinness World Records is now not just in the book or on the TV show, but has become an essential live experience on board for everyone.”

During the sea cruise, guests can take part in record-breaking activities during the day and audition for the big evening show, where the lucky finalists can showcase their talent and try to become the next legendary record holder.

All new record breakers will be reviewed by an official GWR referee and awarded a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS certificate, giving guests the ultimate bragging rights and incredible memories to look back on.

To date, the program is available on 12 ships stationed around the world, including MSC World Europa, MSC Euribia, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa, MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape, MSC Divina, MSC Magnifica. MSC Belissima, MSC Seaside And MSC Splendida are the newest ships to offer.
