Man dead in Windsor crash, Dane Co. Sheriff’s Office reports

WINDSOR, Wis. (WMTV) – A man is dead after a crash late Tuesday morning in Windsor, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office said.

Officers reported that a 63-year-old man was driving north on County Highway C when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck traveling east on County Highway V. Officers responded to the two-vehicle accident around 11:20 a.m.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Office determined that Deforest Fire and EMS had to pull the 63-year-old driver from his vehicle. Officers attempted life-saving measures on the man and the medical examiner later pronounced him dead at the scene.

Officers determined the other driver, a 47-year-old woman from Portage, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for her injuries. She is expected to be fine.
