US Attorney Welcomes Conviction of Sexual Assault Suspect

An East Lansing man will spend the rest of his life in prison for sexually abusing and exploiting multiple women and children.

U.S. Attorney Mark Totten says 32-year-old Arisknight Winfree’s victims included four women, including two minors. Totten described one of the cases.

““He tied her up, put a ball gag in her mouth and then raped her,” Totten said. “He once planned to kill her to hide the evidence, but was dissuaded by a friend.”

In one case, Winfree posed as a Michigan State student to contact young women. In another case, he allegedly advertised an online position for a babysitter in order to make contact with women.

Winfree was convicted of kidnapping, attempted rape of a teenager and sexual exploitation of two minors.
