Honey harvest festival with fresh honey, vendors, food and entertainment

Honey will be sold during the 2023 Honey Harvest Festival.

The 11th Annual Honey Harvest Festival is taking place this weekend at the Clark Historic Farm in Grantsville and features plenty to see and do and, of course, fresh honey sold by various vendors.

The event will take place on Friday, October 11th from 12pm to 6pm and Saturday, October 12th from 10am to 6pm

Although the event focuses on honey harvesting – hence the name – the event also includes local vendors, beekeeping demonstrations, hands-on exhibits, the opportunity to sample honey from around the world, bouncy castles, a petting zoo, contests, and games for children.

Festival entertainment includes dance groups, singers and the Sweet Fiddlen’ Fest. This year, six senior women will also be honored as honorary queen bees on Friday evening at 5 p.m

“She [the honorary queen bees] “They were nominated for their contributions to the community and as an inspiration to others,” said Laurie Hurst, executive director of Clark Historic Farm and organizer of the Honey Harvest Festival.

The volunteer queen bees will be presented with a crown, sash and certificates during the event.

The festival is expected to be one of the best attended events in Tooele County, with attendees traveling from across the state and even out of state.

“This is a wonderful, unique and charming little festival and this year it will be even better than ever,” Hurst said. “If you’ve never been there, come. After that, you’ll never want to be without it.”

The Honey Harvest Festival was first created in 2012 to bring more life to the Clark Historic Farm. It was canceled only once in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clark Farm is located at 392 W. Clark Street in Grantsville. The festival costs $5 for ages five and older. Children up to four years of age have free entry.
