Man arrested for child pornography

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) – A man is in jail after being investigated for posting child sexual assault material online.

Portsmouth, Ohio police were contacted by Internet Crimes Against Children regarding material sent from an apartment along Thomas Avenue.

On October 8, investigators executed a search warrant and arrested 22-year-old Tarik Matthews of Portsmouth.

Matthews was charged with solicitation of sexually oriented matters involving a minor.

Matthews is in the Scioto County Jail awaiting arraignment in Portsmouth Municipal Court.
