“Especially given what happens to Lucy at the end, there’s so much ammunition in her. There’s so much going on with her and we’re not quite at the point where we can see what she’s going to do with it,” the actress noted. “Because we see them [throughout the season] clean yourself up with the blonde hair and try to disappear and be someone else. Then we see her in the future and she has embraced her natural hair. She speaks openly about her relationship with Diana.”

Mena hopes Pippa will find her voice again – especially after Lucy’s problematic decision.

“A lot happens – and this doesn’t happen – just by sitting quietly in your room and healing. It happens through actions: good, bad, ugly and misguided,” she continued. “So I hope we see a lot more of what she’s going to do. She’s so angry and has so much to say, but she hasn’t said it yet.”

“[It is all about] Try to be as honest with them as possible and let the characters speak organically as you create the scenes,” she said Us in August. “I have a lot of empathy for flawed people in general. I never want to write a character that I completely judge just because I find them boring.”

Pippa, on the other hand, is probably one of the least problematic characters in the series – alongside her future friend Diana (Alicia Crowder). Since Tell me lies has two schedules. Viewers know that Pippa and Diana will find their way to each other after college, but do they have a chance of making it?

“I hope so. That would be cool. I think they both deserve it. They’ve both been through so much because of external factors – but also because of this group of people,” Crowder, 27, shared Us. “But yeah, I really hope so. It looks like they’re in a good place. Obviously no relationship is perfect and we have some issues. I think we’re doing well. But I really hope so.”
