One person was injured in a crash on US 60 Tuesday evening

One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision near Mountain Grove Tuesday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Justin Dedmon said an eastbound 1990 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 17-year-old boy from Willow Springs struck the rear of a 1992 Ford F-150 driven by Melvin Edwards, three miles west, around 7:35 p.m. 52, from Cabool, was operating Mountain Grove on US 60. The Tacoma overturned.

A passenger in the Tacoma – Lydia Peterson, 18, of Buffalo – had moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

The Tacoma was totaled; The Ford had minor damage. Everyone was wearing a seatbelt.

Assisting at the scene of the accident was MSgt. Dale Pounds of the patrol.
