San Luis Obispo police arrest a man for sexually assaulting a juvenile

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – San Luis Obispo police arrested a 29-year-old man on September 20 for the sexual assault of a 13-year-old juvenile.

According to SLOPD, the assault occurred when Sosimo Gonzalez De Jesus broke into the victim’s home and sexually assaulted her in the bathroom after tearing her from her bed.

SLOPD officers then took over the investigation and posed as the victim to locate Gonzalez De Jesus before arresting him on October 4 at El Chorro Regional Park.

Gonzalez De Jesus was subsequently booked into the SLO County Jail for the following offenses:

  • PC 220(b) – Burglary with intent to commit sexual assault
  • PC 269(a)(2) – Rape of a minor under 14 years of age
  • PC 207(a) – Kidnapping
  • PC 288(a) – Lewd acts toward a child
  • PC 288.2(a)(2) – Sending explicit images to a minor (3 counts)
  • PC 667.61(d)(4) – Committing a felony while in the commission of first-degree burglary

Gonzalez De Jesus remains in custody without bail and anyone with further information can contact Detective Warner.
