Red Dead Redemption is finally getting the official remaster we’ve been waiting for for years

The new remaster looks fantastic

Rockstar Games has released some high-quality screenshots of the new PC port of Red Dead Redemption, which is looking more and more like a remaster.

Red Dead Redemption fans are extremely excited that the first game is being ported to PC along with the Undead Nightmare DLC.

Check out the game below

The official PC port will be released later this month on October 29th, just two days before Horizon: Zero Dawn So it will be interesting to see if the two games compete at all.

However, to be clear: this is it not an official remaster, but hopefully there will be one one day as it would be great to recreate John Marston’s story with it Red Dead Redemption 2 Graphics and gameplay.

What this port will contain are several PC-exclusive features that make it better than the console versions, and you can see the impact they have on graphics in several posts on X.

This includes 4K graphics, wider render distances, and support for ultrawide monitors if you have one of those lying around.

Fans have responded to some of the high-quality images and are looking forward to taking their own pictures when the game launches later this month.

“Looks great for an old game. It’s a shame the version they brought to the current generation doesn’t look that good,” said one fan.

“Can you imagine what modders will do for the graphics?” added another.

Finally, one fan said: “I hope modding will be easy because I want this game to look like RDR2 just for fun.”

It’s definitely an improvement over the base game’s graphics, even if it’s not the full-fledged remaster we’ve been waiting for.

The Red Dead Redemption remaster is coming to PC later this month on October 29th, and if you haven’t played it in a while, there’s no better time to dive back in.
