Woman charged with assault for biting victim in the butt

According to Conewago Township police, an Adams County woman is accused of multiple felonies after inflicting a series of violent acts on the victim, including hitting the victim’s “buttocks.”

Charging documents state that on Oct. 2, officers responded to South Jefferson Street to reports of a woman on the hood of a vehicle. Laura Lawson, 36, was identified at the scene as the suspect before she attempted to escape.

According to police, Lawson was found wearing a hospital identification bracelet and EKG pads after he allegedly jumped on the hood of a car containing the victim. Lawson reportedly began banging on the window and spitting before being shaken out of the vehicle by the driver.

Investigators learned that Lawson’s hospital bracelet and EKG pads were from a previous incident involving the victim.

Police documents indicate that earlier that day at a residence on South Jefferson Street, Lawson asked the victim to come upstairs, at which point she reportedly then tackled him and bit his nose. According to reports, Lawson allegedly took off his sweatpants, bit him on the butt and said, “I love the taste of your blood.”

Lawson’s partner told police he then tried to escape to the bedroom, where Lawson eventually found him and asked him to “bow down” to her. Documents show he refused to comply, which led to Lawson “stepping up” and punching him in the face multiple times, resulting in a busted lip and other injuries to his face.

Investigators say he obeyed Lawson and got on his hands and knees out of fear of further violence. The charging documents say that in that position, Lawson forced him to engage in “simulated” sexual acts with a water bottle.

In an interview with police, the victim said that after that interaction, she fled the room and attempted to leave the apartment. While trying to escape, Lawson reportedly grabbed Lawson’s three-year-old child’s car keys and drove away.

Police say Lawson later returned to the residence with the child in the vehicle and asked the victim to get into the car with all of his belongings. After the victim put his laptop and personal items in the car, charging documents say Lawson “showed her middle finger” and drove away from the scene, striking a parked car, disabling the vehicle.

According to police, Lawson later returned to the scene on South Jefferson Street, where the victim was being driven by another person whose car she then jumped onto the hood of.

Lawson faces multiple charges, including aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, theft and indecent assault. A preliminary hearing is still pending.
