Police have blamed three pedestrians for an accident in which they were struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in Bedford

Oct. 7—Three pedestrians struck by a Ford Escape in Bedford on Saturday were at fault for crossing the roadway, Bedford police said.

All three were taken to hospital to be checked for minor injuries.

The accident occurred just before 7 p.m. at the intersection of South River and Harvey streets

The driver remained at the scene of the accident.

Police said their preliminary investigation revealed that the three pedestrians were at fault for crossing the roadway, which was not equipped with a zebra crossing or lights.
