BREAKING: Mickey’s not-so-scary Halloween party has been canceled due to Hurricane Milton

Ahead of Hurricane Milton’s expected landfall this week, Walt Disney World has announced several closures across the resort. One of the most important announcements involved Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, originally scheduled for October 10th.

In his new costume, Mickey Mouse wears a green suit with pink accents and a purple top hat and poses in front of red curtains with gold trim.

The event, which was scheduled to take place Thursday evening at the Magic Kingdom, has been canceled. Guests with tickets to the event will receive a full refund.

Disney shared the following message via the Disney Travel Agents website:

Due to updates surrounding Hurricane Milton, all theme park closures and event cancellations, including Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on October 10, are confirmed. “It is likely that theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, October 10th. We will consider opening Disney Springs in the late afternoon with limited offerings. This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom on October 10th. Event tickets will be refunded.”

This is the second Halloween party canceled due to a hurricane. Hurricane Helene caused the event to be canceled in September.
